Crisis Response Team Preparations

The EFCA Midwest District and EFCA TouchGlobal Crisis Response Ministry are working in partnership to provide tornado recovery to the body of Christ, and related outreach and evangelism to the Greensburg, KS community. We are in need of individuals who have a heart for service and compassion. Come prepared to be flexible and with an openness to be used by God!

We are currently seeking teams of 4 or more people, rather than individual workers. Skilled and unskilled trades people are needed. Multiple teams are deployed for each of the defined time frames. PLEASE NOTE: We are asking teams for 2008 to serve in the field for 3 days minimum (Thursday- Saturday) to more effectively minister in the community.

We are also recruiting for the following professional skills. Please let us know if your team will have one or more individuals with the following professional skills:

carpenter
cook
counselor
electrician
flooring worker
plumber
roofer
sheet rock hanger and/or taper
tree climber

Crisis Response ministry has proven to be a great family and youth missions experience. Please plan to bring your youth teams over the summer and upcoming breaks.

General Information

TRIP COSTS

A $20 per person non-refundable deposit is required at the time of scheduling. The deposit will not be applied to the total week fee.

To sustain volunteer response during the long term recovery, teams are required to pay the following amounts to cover lodging/facility costs, as well as breakfast and dinner and to help with ongoing Crisis Response Ministry needs.

Day Only: $20 per person for a single day of work (no overnight)

Weekend: $95 per person for Wednesday evening - Sunday morning (including 3 breakfast and 2 dinners)

Full week: $170 per person for Sunday evening - Saturday afternoon (includes 6 breakfast and 5 dinners)

Lunch is the responsibility of each team. The balance payment fee should be sent 14 days prior to team arrival.
